Adaptive Starting Control Strategy for Hybrid Electric Vehicles Equipped with a Wet Dual-Clutch Transmission

To improve the starting performance of P2.5 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles with a wet dual-clutch transmission, an adaptive control strategy is presented in this paper, which controls two clutches simultaneously involved process. A fuzzy controller designed to identify intention and determine target torque under different working conditions. The process divided into five periods, linear quadratic optimal adopted obtain reference trajectory for third period, while others are determined by changing adjustment coefficients according combined pressure feedback based on PID algorithm proposed clutch follow trajectory. MATLAB/Simulink software platform used simulate strategy. results show that can shorten time reduce level jerk. Moreover, first-gear starting, friction work whole C1 is, respectively, reduced 1.68% 4.62% slowly 23.37% 23.6% quickly significantly prolong service lifetime compared traditional single-clutch
